MATERNITY SESSION (32-36 WEEKS)
Your pregnant figure is something to remember with affection and having this special time in your life professionally captured is becoming more and more popular. Moms-to-be are often stunned at the elegant images that result from creative posing and camera angles that show “just enough.” If you’re not inclined to bare all, there are many options that result in the gorgeous bare belly shots everyone wants.
My recommended ideal timing for maternity photography is between the 32nd and 36th week of your pregnancy. This usually means you have a very well defined bump!
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A MATERNITY SHOOT? I tend to book about 3 weeks in advance, maternity sessions are best photographed when mom is about 32 to 36 weeks.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? I will suggest a few simple items of clothing that work well with maternity shoots, alternatively we can look through your wardrobe when I arrive and pick some clothing and accessories. I can also create some really artistic and elegant images with little or no clothing at all, mums-to-be are often stunned at the images that result from creative posing and camera angles that show ‘just enough’, but its entirely up to you what images you would like.
HOW ABOUT MAKE-UP AND HAIR? I would recommend wearing some makeup with emphasis on the eyes and have your hair loose and natural, some mums to be like to have their nails painted as sometimes there will be some close up hands on bump shots.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY SESSION? Expect to have fun! I bring my portable studio kit and set up in a small space in your home. This means you can be totally relaxed and just enjoy the shoot which will last about 1 hour. We will go through a few outfit changes and poses to really show off you and your beautiful bump, and don’t worry if you’re not used to having your photo taken, I will carefully pose you into flattering positions to make you look your best.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP BLEMISHES? I understand your body goes through a lot of changes whilst you are creating a new life so touching up minor imperfections and blemishes are all part of my regular editing process.
